Infected Mask 3D Print Files (28 Years Later & The Bone Temple)
Infected Mask 3D Print Files (28 Years Later & The Bone Temple)
*PLEASE NOTE - These are 3D Print files, not a physical mask.
“Boots—boots—boots—boots—movin' up an' down again!”
I absolutely LOVE this movie! I think I've watched it and The Bone Temple about 6 times since they came out, so I had to design something from it.
Here we have the weird and wonderful Infected Mask from Danny Boyle and Alex Garland’s amazing film 28 Years Later. This is the mask made and worn by the community of survivors on Holy Island. They use them for target practice, training their kids in archery from a young age in order to survive on the mainland.
Symbolically, it acts as a ritualistic element designed to keep the island's inhabitants from growing too comfortable or complacent after nearly three decades of living with the apocalypse.
28 Years Later was not just a surprise return to the solid zombie movie franchise. Its fresh and unmistakably unique style also makes it an incredible post-apocalyptic movie about love and family. And, in wider terms, just how would the world treat an island such as the UK if a virus of this magnitude struck?
The mask comes with a separate arrow, with the feathers thickened up to make them printable. The feathers themselves are also separate and can be replaced with real bird feathers.
We have deliberately not modelled the stitching on the mask, so you can add real thread for authenticity. The overall design and all hole placements are fully accurate to the screen-used prop. The eyes and cheekbones are purposely not symmetrical or equal in size, for example. We have added a very light texture to recreate the weathering on the otherwise very glossy surface.
Printed at 100% scale, the mask fits a head of circumference 60cm.
Included in these files are:
• Infected Mask
• Arrow (with feathers)
• Arrow (No feathers)
• Feathers (left & right)
We are extremely proud of this Mask!
