Leatherface 2006 Half Mask 3D Print Files (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning)

*PLEASE NOTE - These are 3D Print files, not a physical mask.

“Witness the birth of fear.”

In 2006, we got another awesome instalment of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, from the same studio that brought us the 2003 remake.

Andrew Bryniarski returns as Leatherface, alongside the perhaps even scarier R. Lee Ermey as Uncle Charlie Hewitt.

Being a prequel and origin story, we get to see that Thomas Sawyer wasn't always hidden away from society. He had a job and mingled with the cattle. Not for long, of course. Following the closure of the meat factory — the very place where we learn he was born — he loses his purpose in life, kills his boss and takes his trusty work chainsaw with him. We also discover more about how he became the '“misunderstood” figure we know, alongside Sheriff Hoyt's background, demise and rebirth, and how the family manages to get away with their so called lifestyle in rural Texas for years to come.

We have recreated his infamous half mask. This is the first time we've seen Leatherface without a full face mask. Is it made from human skin or animal skin? We never find out. Does it matter? It's all the same to Leather!

Whilst modelling, we realised that the generic costume mask released to the public actually has the strap design wrong, with both straps forced to go around the back of the head. In the film, the upper strap goes over the very top of the head at front, which we've naturally recreated for screen accuracy.

With the full straps being too thin to print accurately, even in flexible TPU, we've deliberately left them off so you can add your own real leather straps. We recommend joining them with E6000 glue.

We've made the mask approximately 3mm wall thickness. We highly recommend reinforcing the inside with fibreglass resin, with or without fibre, or a suitable hardener as part of your preparation before sanding, to strengthen the structure of the mask.

Printed at 100% scale, the mask fits a head circumference of 60cm.

Included in these files are:

• Leatherface 2006 Half Mask

We are extremely proud of this Model!
