Leatherface Mask 3D Print Files (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2003)
Leatherface Mask 3D Print Files (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2003)

"Witness the birth of fear."
When The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) Remake first came out, I was super excited! But I initially came out of the cinema feeling like it had missed the point; that the raw, gritty realism had been turned into a shiny ‘Hollywood’ excessive version. That they’d changed the story too much and had just thrown Leatherface in and used the name. I enjoyed it but, I wasn’t sure it was necessary. However, in the years since I’ve grown to really really love it! If put your brain ‘in -universe’ and simply see it as a separate story, like that months comic book instalment, it’s actually fantastic and the horror elements, new characters and structure of the family and it’s history I think is brilliant - and most importantly, scary! The introduction of the amazing R. Lee Ermey of Full Metal Jacket fame, as Sheriff Hoyt is simply awesome and adds an even more sinister element to the family, adding to the overall terror and family dynamics where Leatherface himself, could have been turned simply into a caricature.
Andrew Bryniarski played Thomas Hewitt (Leatherface) brilliantly in this instalment and fun fact; him and R.A. Mihailoff, who played Leatherface in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III, appear together as Nazi bikers in the film ‘Stiletto.’
The mask design too was also something to get right. They didn’t go overboard, they didn’t underwhelm. To me, they made a truly terrifying, original and faithful update.
We took that same faithful respect to try and create an accurate replica 3d print model.
We have kept in the ‘stitched side parting’ at the top of the mask however, we have shortened it slightly with the idea being that you would wear it on top of a wig and the slightly shorter length will help it blend into the hair more, rather than float above it.
To find the right balance between being thick enough to 3d print - and not too thick to deter from it being a second skin mask, we have made it between 3mm- 5mm wall thickness. We highly recommend reinforcing the inside of the mask with fibre glass resin with (or without) fibre (or similar hardener) before sanding to strengthen the structure of the mask.
Printed at 100% scale the mask fits a head of 60cm circumference.
Included in these files are:
• Leatherface 2006 Mask
We are extremely proud of this Mask!
